There are two chained access roads. The first road is located near mile marker 8.99 and the other at mile marker 9.31. They are secured with United States Forest Service combination locks. PROSPECTS: The prospects look fantastic on this claim. This section of the Klamath River has a very rich mining history. Evidence of extensive hydraulic mining operations can be seen along the river nearly everywhere in the area. There are old cobble and tailing piles from previous activity located on the claim. This is testimony to the rich gravels that were worked along this section of the Klamath River. These old hydraulic mining areas present fantastic potential for metal detecting. A lot of areas exist for excellent sluicing and highbanking prospects, as well. There are large boulders and bedrock providing good shallow dredging opportunities. This claim is right below the old hydraulic areas which very likely wash new gold into the river during every major storm.
